Fife Diamond Garden Festival  18th - 20th May
 
The official opening of the Garden Festival will take place at Cambo House, Kingsbarns(Sir Peter & Lady Erskine) with a walkabout in the Walled Garden. A further 11 gardens will be open during the following 2 days, many opening to the public for the first time. The festival participants are: Barham, Bow of Fife (Sir Robert & Lady Spencer-Nairn), Glassmount House, by Kirkcaldy (James & Irene Thomson) Micklegarth, Aberdour (Mr and Mrs Gordon Maxwell) The Murrel, Aberdour (Mr and Mrs Alistair Bowen) Newton Barns, Auchtermuchty (Mr and Mrs John Anderson) Newton Mains, Auchtermuchty (Mr & Mrs Tony Lear) Rosewells, Pitscottie (Mr and Mrs Gordon MacDonald) 46 South Street, St Andrews (Mrs E J Baxter) St Leonards School Grounds & the Headmaster's Garden South Street, St Andrews (Dr and Mrs Michael Carslaw), Strathmore Cottage, Drumeldrie by Upper Largo (Barbara Whitelaw & Willie Duncan) Teasses Garden, Nr Ceres (Sir Frazer and Lady Morrison)

Halford Tour Series - Kirkcaldy - 15th May

The 2012 Halfords Tour Series will begin in Kirkcaldy, as the unique team based, televised cycle race Series makes its first visit north of the border to Scotland.Kirkcaldy will stage the opening round of this year?s Halfords Tour Series on Tuesday 15th May, as ten top British teams begin their five week battle to be crowned champions of the Series, which sees teams go head-to-head for victory. Spectators in Kirkcaldy can look forward to an action packed evening of racing as the Series gets underway, and I?m sure the Scottish riders in the peloton like James and Evan Oliphant will be looking to impress on home roads, and of course enjoy a tremendous home support
