Curtis Cup
For the first time ever the Curtis Cup will be contested in the Home of Golf at St Andrews Old Course.
The women amateurs of Great Britain and Ireland will take on a team from the United States. The championships will also be held over three days for the first time running from the 30th May to 1st June 2008.
The Ladies' Golf Union said:
"We are delighted that the 2008 Curtis Cup will be played at St Andrews. The history and tradition of the Old Course make it an unrivalled setting for the biennial contest between the best amateurs of the United States and Great Britain & Ireland and we are certain that it will be a memorable match."
