The Dunhill Links Championships is an annual event taking place over three courses in rotation - The Old Course, St Andrews, Kingsbarns, by St Andrews and Carnoustie in Angus.
Played over 72 holes of stroke play with one 18 hole round being played each day, the Championships welcome nearly 170 professional and 170 amateur players to the event.
Famous players have included Samuel L Jackson, Ronan Keating, Sir Steve Redgrave, Boris Becker, Dennis Hopper, Hugh Grant, Bill Murray and many more.
Many of the world's leading international players such as Colin Montgomerie, Ernie Els, Paul Casey, Vijay Singh and Darren Clarke regularly play in the championship together with the finest players from Europe. Additionally there is a strong representation from golfers from Southern Africa, Australia and Asia.
Past champions include Paul Lawrie, Padraig Harrington, Lee Westwood and Colin Montgomerie to name but a few.
The Championships returns to Fife on the 2nd - 5th October 2008.
