Cairnie Fruit Farm and Mega Maze, by Cupar has officially received a four star visitor attraction award from VisitScotland's quality assurance scheme.
Contributing factors in gaining a step up from three to four stars have been the result of the quality experience of the main attractions, the excellent catering facilities and a good retail area.
The visitor attraction, which is open throughout the main summer months, offers a wide range of activities for individuals and families, all with the focus on the outdoors. Particular highlights include the maze and play area but for a more relaxing time there is also the opportunity for visitors to pick their own fruit.
VisitScotland visitor attractions are graded one to five stars, and are assessed on the quality of the product, customer service and visitor facilities specific to the style of the attraction.
VisitScotland Fife area director, Alan Graham, said: "Cairnie Fruit Farm and Mega Maze have committed themselves to achieving a very high standard which exemplifies the criteria of the VisitScotland visitor attraction scheme.
"VisitScotland works all year round to assess the standard of accommodation and visitor attractions in Scotland in order to allow visitors to the country to have choice and variety when choosing where to stay or where to go."
"This award is an impartial and objective endorsement by VisitScotland of the high quality offered by Cairnie and I wish them all the best for the forthcoming season."
The visitor attraction scheme is just one of many programmes run by VisitScotland that aims to ensure people visiting tourist attractions in Scotland have a memorable experience and that they look forward to returning.
