Order our new Where To Stay Guide - packed full of the best places to stay in Fife.
Situated just across the Firth of Forth from Edinburgh, Fife is remarkably close to all of central Scotland and the vast road network that links Scotland with the rest of Great Britain.
For those travelling from further afield, Edinburgh and Dundee airports are just 20 minutes drive from Fife and with many local, national and international flights arriving and departing - we are easily accessible no matter which part of the world you are coming from.
The Norfolkline Ferry route between Zebrugge and Rosyth runs three times a week, linking Fife with continental Europe. Crossing time is approximately 20 hours and Norfolkline has invested in a brand new modern ferry ('The Scottish Viking') for a route that provides comfort and reliability all year round.
Fife also has the benefit of good train and bus links from other parts of Scotland. Fife sits not only on the direct line to Dundee and Aberdeen, but has trains going to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and Inverness at regular intervals throughout the day. The Fife Circle route also lets you travel through the smaller towns and villages of Fife before travelling over the world famous Forth Bridge and into Edinburgh. Buses also travel within Fife, linking places the train does not reach, as well as linking our larger towns to other towns in Scotland such as Glasgow and Edinburgh.
